Mexican Army detains nephew of “El Chapo” in Sonora
The capture of Isai “N” took place in Nogales, Sonora, after intelligence work by the Mexican Army and the National Guard.
A military operation derived from intelligence work culminated in the arrest of Isai “N”, who is identified by Mexican authorities as the nephew of Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán.
This was announced this Tuesday by the Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection, Omar García Harfuch, who pointed out that the capture took place in the city of Nogales, Sonora.
Through social networks, the official explained that personnel from the Ministry of Defense, as well as the Attorney General's Office and the National Guard, participated in the operation.
Likewise, García Harfuch indicated that the detainee has an extradition order, so he could be sent to United States territory, where "El Chapo" is serving a life sentence.
