Real estate agent fired after reporting a father with his daughters in the women's bathroom
The case went viral on TikTok and reopened the debate about fathers accompanying their daughters
A Mississippi real estate agent lost his job after being involved in an incident that went viral on social media. The man called the police to report a father who entered the women's bathroom accompanied by his two young daughters, arguing that he was trying to assist them during a stop at a gas station in Alabama.
The case generated millions of reactions on the Internet and revived the debate about the difficulties that some parents face when they have to accompany their children in public spaces.
A viral video that reached millions of views
According to information released by TMZ, the incident occurred at a QuikTrip gas station, where Tyler Brodsky, a father originally from Oklahoma, decided to take his daughters to the women's bathroom because he considered that the men's bathroom was in poor condition.
The situation escalated when another customer confronted him and called the police to report the presence of a man inside the bathroom.
The moment was recorded by Brodsky and later published on TikTok, where the video accumulated more than 24 million views.
In the images, a person is heard reporting to the authorities: “There is a man with two little girls using the women's bathroom.”
As the argument continued, the father's daughters began to cry, increasing the tension of the moment.
The company breaks relations with the agent
Following the controversy, Overstreet Properties, a real estate company based in Mississippi, confirmed that the man involved is no longer part of the organization.
“The conduct displayed in the video does not reflect the values of Overstreet Properties or the standards we expect from those who represent our organization,” the company said in a statement.
The company explained that the individual was an independent contractor and that the incident occurred during a personal trip unrelated to his job duties.
The police concluded that there was no violation
As Brodsky recounted in a later video, three officers responded to the scene and quickly determined that no offense had been committed.
“The agents told me that I was fine, that I had done nothing wrong,” he said.
The father also thanked the officers and QuikTrip employees for their support, who helped calm his daughters after the altercation.
