Authorities reported that a Texas high school teacher was accused of having sex with a 14-year-old student in a Walmart parking lot, while two other students sat in the back seat.

Jaden Renee Charles, 26, and mother of four, faces two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a minor. Authorities say he had relationships with more than one of his students at Agua Dulce High School. The charges against Charles stem from an incident on February 29, 2024, when he allegedly drove three students—a 14-year-old boy, a 16-year-old boy, and a 15-year-old girl—to the Walmart in Alice around 2:10 a.m., according to KRIS 6 News. He then allegedly tied a blanket around the headrests of the front seats of his SUV and had sex with the 14-year-old boy, who was in the front seat, while the other two teenagers sat in the back seat. At the time, Charles claimed to be pregnant with the 14-year-old boy's baby, according to court documents. The investigation began with reports of vaping. But the investigation into Charles's behavior began when a student was caught with a vape in the campus, according to Scripps News.

The Agua Dulce Independent School District spoke with several students and teachers about the incident and learned that Charles had provided the vaporizer to the student.

While authorities were investigating the incident, officers discovered that Charles may have provided vaporizers containing THC to several students, Sheriff Joe Martinez told 3NEWS at the time.

He had allegedly begun purchasing the vaporizers for the children two years prior, before he started teaching.
