Woman found lifeless inside her vehicle in North Carolina: suspect arrested
Authorities arrested a suspect and formally charged him with murder after the death of Frezja Matisse Baker, found lifeless inside her vehicle
Frezja Matisse Baker was found unconscious inside her car around 9:35 a.m. on Thursday, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department in North Carolina. Emergency crews confirmed her death at the scene.
The victim was found in a grayish-blue 2004 Honda Accord, the vehicle in which she had last been seen on the night of Thursday, December 4, shortly before 10:00 p.m.
Identification and charges against the suspect
Police identified 38-year-old Lorenza Thomas Inman Jr. as the primary suspect, and arrest warrants were issued. Inman was charged with murder, assault against a woman, and misdemeanor domestic violence, according to the official report.
Authorities indicated that the exact cause of Baker's death is still under investigation.
Family alerted authorities about her disappearance
The victim's family had expressed concern about her whereabouts days before the discovery and cooperated with authorities in the search. Baker's mother expressed her anguish in statements to local media. "I just want my baby home, safe and sound," she said, visibly distraught.
