Alejandro Sanz is embroiled in a strong controversy after a fan accused him of emotional manipulation and abuse of power.

This Sunday, Ivet Playà, a young Catalan woman, shared a video on her TikTok account in which she recounted her experience when she met the Spanish singer, who was her idol, and how the disappointed.

Playà said she met the “Corazón partío” singer in 2015, when she was 18 and he was 49. At that time, they began exchanging messages on social media after Sanz started commenting on some of her photos on Instagram.

“I was his fan and he followed me on social media. I was amazed that someone like him, so famous, would send me messages, comment on my photos, or even post things about me,” the young woman explained.

Excited, the young woman looked for all kinds of jobs to follow Alejandro Sanz’s tour in Spain and be able to attend all the shows. She managed to attend ten shows in a month and a half.

Little by little, the relationship between the young woman and the singer began to intensify until they met and the bond became intimate and sexual, but also an experience marked by an imbalance of power, manipulation, and emotional abuse.

"He played with my dreams, he played with my hopes," says the young woman, who moved from Barcelona to Madrid after Sanz offered her the chance to work with him.

Playà reported that the experience became disturbing and painful. Among the most serious accusations, the young woman claims that her private conversations were being spied on by the singer's entourage, which she considers a violation of her privacy.

"They spied on our conversations. I found out years later. I wasn't hiding anything, but if my messages reached them, I don't know who read them. And that is a complete violation of my privacy," she stated.

In her statements, Ivet emphasizes that she is not seeking revenge or filing legal proceedings against Sanz, but rather wants to warn about the dangers of unequal relationships and recover the voice she feels she lost.

"All my statements refer exclusively to attitudes and behaviors that are morally and humanly unacceptable. In no case have I blamed nor do I intend to blame Alejandro Sanz for any criminal conduct," she clarified.

Playà's testimony has generated an intense debate on social media, polarizing opinions between those who support her and those who defend the singer.

So far, neither Alejandro Sanz nor his team have issued an official statement on the matter.
