A mountain of sorrow has broken on the family of Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan. These are difficult times for the Roshan family. The actor's maternal grandmother Padma Rani Omprakash passed away. He breathed his last in Mumbai on Thursday afternoon. His last rites will be performed at Vile Parle's cremation ground at around 10 pm today.

Hrithik Roshan's maternal grandmother was 91 years old and she had age-related diseases. Rakesh Roshan confirmed the news of his mother-in-law's death. Let us tell you that Padma Rani was the wife of late director-producer J Om Prakash and she was the mother-in-law of Hrithik's father Rakesh Roshan. Hrithik Roshan's maternal grandfather and filmmaker J Om Prakash passed away on 7 August 2019.

Om Prakash is known for directing popular films like Bhagwan Dada, Aap Saath, Aakhir Kyun?, Arpan, Aas Paas, Asha, Aashiq Hoon Baharon Ka, Apnapan, Aaskar and Aap Ki Kasam. He had also produced films like Aankhen, Aankhon Ki Aankhon Mein, Aaya Sawan Jhoom Ke, Aaye Din Bahar Ke, Aai Milan Ki Bela and Aas Ka Paanchi, apart from many other films.

At the same time, Hrithik Roshan shared a picture with his maternal grandparents in 2019 on Twitter. With this, he wrote in the caption, My maternal grandfather whom I affectionately call Deda, has taught me the lessons he has taught me at every stage of my life, which I now share with my children. And as a child my speech therapist Dr Ojha taught me to accept my weakness and helped me overcome the fear of stammering.

Talking about films, Hrithik Roshan has recently finished shooting for the film 'Vikram Vedha'. Saif Ali Khan is also in an important role in this film. Apart from this, there is also Radhika Apte, Rohit Saraf and Yogita Bihani. The movie will be released in cinemas on 30 September 2022.
