Lucia Mendez spoke again about her health. After suffering from a lung infection, the Mexican actress decided to deny a wave of rumors about the health complication she suffered.
Recently, a magazine published that Mendez needed to use oxygen because she had a fungus in her lungs due to excessive cannabis use, something the actress denied.
In a recent interview with the program De Primera Mano, the 70-year-old actress denied the rumors. "It is absolutely false that I had a fungus, it would be extremely dangerous for my life," she said.
"They see me happy, they see me content, they see me fulfilled; I don't understand, it's not just with me; "It's cruelty," Méndez added.
On April 6, Lucía Méndez was hospitalized after experiencing health complications resulting from a Covid-19 infection.
"Lucía Méndez is hospitalized, she has Covid, the situation is not serious. As far as we know, she had trouble breathing and said: 'Better take me to the hospital,' and yes, they stabilized her and she is breathing perfectly; He's been there for two days and it's nothing serious, but it is serious," reported Martha Figueroa of the Hoy program.
After the news, his doctor, Jesús Enrique Barrios, explained in an interview with the Todo para la Mujer program, that Méndez has a variation of covid-19, which led to a respiratory complication, and that due to his good health his condition has not been serious.
"I am treating Mrs. Lucía Méndez for an infection, pneumonitis. It is like pneumonia secondary to covid. "She is currently on oxygen, she has not been intubated, she has not been at risk of being intubated, but we do have oxygen on her at all times, Mrs. Lucia," the doctor said.
Although the doctor explained that she does have assistance to breathe, he ruled out that it was a serious problem.
After several days in the hospital, Méndez continued her recovery at home after being discharged.
