Hollywood's A-list actors and writers are on strike. Let us tell you that for the first time a double strike is going on in Hollywood, in which writers and directors are involved. Until this strike does not end, its impact is visible on films and TV series. And now Steven Spielberg and wife Kate Capshaw have supported the striking writers and actors. They have donated $1.5 million to support others affected by the work stoppage.

The funds distributed since the WGA went on strike in May have been divided between the Entertainment Community Fund and the SAG-AFTRA Foundation's Emergency Financial Assistance Program. The two have sought to keep entertainment industry workers afloat amid the strike-through emergency financial assistance to cover basic needs, mental health support and more.

Let us tell you that as of September 8, the Entertainment Community Fund had distributed an amount of more than $6.5 million to more than 3,100 film and television personnel. Meanwhile, the SAG-AFTRA Foundation has provided $2.5 million in financial support to date.

A large section of people have come out in support of the people affected by the strike and are helping them. Spielberg and Capshaw are the latest to make a major donation to the Entertainment Community Fund, following A-list creatives like Shonda Rhimes and Seth MacFarlane. Others who donated massive checks to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation include George and Amal Clooney, Luciana and Matt Damon, Leonardo DiCaprio, Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness, Dwayne Johnson, Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, Ryan Reynolds Are included. Apart from this, Blake Lively, Julia Roberts, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Meryl Streep and Oprah Winfrey are also included.
