Why could not Pitbull accompany Shakira on the return of her tour to Mexico?
The Cuban-born singer was unable to make it to Tijuana, Mexico for the first show of the second leg of the Barranquilla singer Latin American tour.
Pitbull couldn't accompany Shakira on her return to Mexico for the second leg of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour this week.
The Cuban-born singer He was scheduled to be the Barranquilla native's special guest at her show in Tijuana this Monday, but was unable to attend due to a technical problem on the plane that was supposed to take him from Miami.
After the unforeseen event that left the Cuban singer stranded and prevented him from arriving on time to perform in the city of Baja California, the concert production, through Ocesa, reported on the incident in a statement.
"For tonight's concert in Tijuana, where Pitbull was scheduled to perform as a guest artist, we regret to inform you that, due to technical problems on the plane that was supposed to depart from Miami, Pitbull will not be able to perform as the opening act," the production company indicated.
Although Pitbul's cancellation did not affect Shakira's concert, the event's production company apologized to the Colombian singer's audience.
"We are deeply sorry for this inconvenience, which would have undoubtedly added to an unforgettable night. However, we are sure that we will live a unique experience together with Shakira and her Las Mujeres No Lloran World Tour, the most important tour on the planet," he said.
In a video published by the production company, Pitbul also apologized to Shakira's fans. "There are things in life that one cannot control, but Tijuana and all of Mexico, dance and enjoy with the only one: Shakira." Thank you so much for the opportunity and I know you're going to give a spectacular show. Que viva Mexico and you already know!, he said.
It is important to note that this cancellation only applied to the Tijuana date. For the following performances in Hermosillo, Torreon and Monterrey, Pitbull maintains his participation confirmed.
This week, Shakira began the second leg of her Latin American tour in Mexico, where she will offer 17 concerts in cities such as Monterrey, Guadalajara, Mexico City, Puebla, among others.
In September, the Barranquilla native will perform in the Dominican Republic, where she had a show planned during the first leg of her tour but it was canceled due to logistical problems.
Between October and December, Shakira will perform in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay and Argentina.
