In a recent interview with Variety, Faris spoke honestly about the sadness that overwhelmed her at the end of her marriage, which ended in 2017 when Pratt filed for divorce after eight years of relationship.
"I felt sad. Sad," the actress confessed. Faris admitted that media scrutiny was especially harsh during their separation and that intensified her emotional instability. "I've tried to be careful about the influence of Hollywood, but I've been in the world of fame for 26 years, so it would be naive to think that scrutiny hasn't influenced who I am now," he added.
A refuge outside of Hollywood
During the interview, Faris revealed that her emotional lifeline was her “Unqualified” podcast, which she hosted from 2015 to 2023. “I was lucky enough to have my podcast at the time,” she explained.

On “Unqualified,” Faris interviewed other artists and answered questions from listeners looking for advice. The actress confessed that the program was born from her peculiar habit of engaging in deep and brief conversations with strangers.
“I always felt like I could do it if I needed to,” he reflected. “The podcast helped me a lot during that time and made me think: I know I could be happy writing… I was thinking about a kind of retirement.”
A present full of gratitude and new projects
Far from retiring, Faris assures that today he is experiencing a moment of professional fulfillment. “The opportunities are more abundant than ever!” he exclaimed. “I am overwhelmed with gratitude.”
The actress was also excited about her recent reunion with Marlon Wayans in the new film in the “Scary Movie” franchise, a project she described as “very meaningful and powerful.” “It made me feel like I'm an important part of something even bigger… it makes me cry,” Faris concluded.
