Is Harry Styles returning to Marvel? Here's what we know about his future in the MCU
The singer-songwriter said he is focused on his music project and although he did not rule out returning to the big screen, he assured that for now it is not in his plans
With the upcoming release of his fourth studio album, singer Harry Styles is once again making headlines thanks to his career on the big screen, especially the possibility of returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as 'Eros/Starfox' after his debut in the film “Eternals” in 2021.
The conversation about the future of this character arose from comments made by Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige regarding the stories that will continue within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
“There are plans for some and there are opportunities for everyone. It's about finding the right time. Some we may never see again. Others we may see soon… Who knows?” he explained during his participation in a roundtable discussion hosted by GamesRadar+.
The executive was clear in stating that for Marvel it is essential that characters fit organically into future stories and not be included in upcoming projects out of “obligation.” due to his popularity with the public.
This conversation revived what Styles told Rolling Stone magazine in 2022 about his MCU debut and the great reception he received from the public. At the time, the famous singer acknowledged that despite having signed a contract for several films with the entertainment giant, a return to acting is not in his plans in the short term.
“I don't think I'm going to do any movies for a while,” the 'Watermelon Sugar' singer explained at the time.
This is how the possibility of productions related to the story of “Eternals” or any other film in which Harry Styles could participate as 'Eros', Thanos's brother and a member of the “Avengers” in the comics, is established.
