How was the Daddy Yankee and Bizarrap show at the Santiago Bernabeu?
The reggaeton artist and the Argentine producer began their show, which took place on Sunday, with their recent collaboration “BZRP Music Sessions Vol. 0/66”
On Sunday, the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium became the epicenter of Latin music during the halftime show of the first official NFL game in Madrid, where Daddy Yankee and Bizarrap put on a spectacular show that surprised everyone.
The show began with the impressive performance of The 504 Marching Band of Honduras, comprised of more than 60 musicians, performed the intro to “BZRP Music Sessions Vol. 0/66,” the first collaboration between the Puerto Rican reggaeton artist and the Argentine producer. Then, Daddy Yankee emerged amidst lights, smoke, and fireworks, dressed in a black leather suit and dark sunglasses to begin the show. Bizarrap, with his characteristic style and dark sunglasses, took over, performing his famous session with Spanish singer Quevedo, “Quedate,” electrifying the Bernabeu with a light show that transformed the stadium into a giant disco. Daddy Yankee expressed his excitement about returning to the stage with an energetic shout of “Arriba, Madrid!” (Up with Madrid!), infecting the audience who sang along to every song and celebrated the union between a reggaeton legend and an innovator of urban music. On November 5th, Daddy Yankee and Bizarrap released their “BZRP Music Session #0/66,” which stands out for its classic reggaeton rhythm and references to the singer's Christian faith. The announcement of the session comes shortly after Daddy Yankee announced his return to music after having retired from the urban music scene three years ago. In October, Daddy Yankee released the album Lamento en baile, the ninth of his career and the first of this new stage. In 2023, Daddy Yankee announced his retirement from music after concluding his fifth and final concert of the La Meta tour in Puerto Rico. At that time, the singer surprised his audience by revealing his decision to begin a new stage in his life dedicated entirely to his faith in Christ.
