Everything you need to know about Bad Bunny in “Toy Story 5” before watching it
The long-awaited installment of “Toy Story” arrives this Friday in all theaters and the participation of Bad Bunny generates expectations
The “Bad Rabbit” is already part of the Pixar universe. Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, will have a cameo as a voice in “Toy Story 5”, the long-awaited new installment of the saga that hits theaters this June 19, 2026.
His participation has generated great expectations among his followers, and these are all the details you need to know before watching the film.
Who does he play?
The Puerto Rican artist will give life to a toy called Pizza With Sunglasses in English.
According to Disney's official description, he is a “mysterious and very cool” character who belongs to a small community of forgotten toys that live in an abandoned house in a garden. According to the trailers, the character's personality connects directly with the vibe that Bad Bunny projects on and off stage.
How long does it appear?
Those planning to see the film by Bad Bunny should know that his participation is a brief cameo, not a starring role. The singer appears in a single scene that lasts no more than two minutes, so you have to be very attentive not to miss his lines.
In what language will you be heard?
One of the most notable features is that Bad Bunny will lend his voice to the character in three different versions: Original version in English, dubbing for Latin America and dubbing for Spain.
In the original version, he is the only character who speaks in Spanish, retaining his unmistakable Puerto Rican accent. According to co-director Andrew Stanton, the idea came about because they discovered that Bad Bunny was a big “Toy Story” fan.
In fact, during the pandemic, the artist caused a sensation on social networks with a homemade miniseries of humorous videos where he played with his own figures of Woody, Buzz and Forky. “It was easy to ask,” said producer Lindsey Collins, “and he said yes.” Tom Hanks himself described the choice as “perfect casting.”
About the movie
“Toy Story 5” finds Woody and his friends facing their biggest modern challenge: technology.
The plot revolves around Lilypad, a frog-shaped tablet that becomes the new favorite “toy” of Bonnie, the owner of the toys. This interactive device threatens to steal a girl's attention and imagination, jeopardizing her bond with her classic toys. In the Spanish dubbing, Lilypad is voiced by the Mexican singer Belinda.
