Jennifer Lopez revealed the rule that applies with her exes: "Once its over, you are dead to me"
The singer and actress confessed that she is a person who does not cling to her past relationships and focuses on moving forward with her life
Jennifer Lopez does not cling to her past relationships. The singer clearly and forcefully revealed the rule she applies to her exes when ending relationships after her several relationships and her recent divorce from Ben Affleck.
In a recent interview with The Howard Stern Show, the singer and actress confessed that she is a person who does not hold on to her past relationships and shared the rule she applies when ending a romance.
"Once I'm done, you're dead to me," said the singer confidently, who made it clear that she moves on without looking back.
"I'm one of those people who doesn't hold on, to be honest. You're not dead to me, but definitely, it's over, I'm moving on," she added.
JLo explained that this rule comes from the need to emotionally free herself and move on. The singer said that, although she has experienced intense loves, she always felt she was not deeply loved.
The singer assured that at this point in her life she wants to keep her love life away from the spotlight.
"It's difficult to be under that magnifying glass. (...) Now I just want to keep that part of my life much more discreet," she said.
Despite everything, Jennifer maintains good professional relationships with her ex-partners when necessary, as is the case with Ben Affleck with whom she shared a time at the premiere of the film Kiss of the Spider-Woman.
According to People magazine, a source close to the former couple assured that both maintain a cordial and mutually supportive relationship.
"They are in a very good place. They continue to support each other. They are both proud of what they achieved together," said the source.
