The Italian singer Laura Pausini will be recognized with the Billboard Icon Award during the 2025 Billboard Latin Music Awards ceremony, which will be held on October 23 in Miami.

Pausini will be recognized with the award, which honors artists with iconic careers who have transcended in its genre, for more than 30 years of artistic career.

The Italian singer expressed her emotion at receiving this award. “What excites me most is that this recognition comes right in the year that, before knowing I would receive it, I had already decided to release a tribute album to the great singer-songwriters of Spain and Latin America,” she said in a statement.

The 2025 Billboard Latin Music Awards ceremony will take place at the James L. Knight Center and will be broadcast live on Telemundo, the Telemundo app, the Peacock streaming service and Telemundo Internacional.

In addition to receiving the award, Pausini will perform live during the gala, which will close Billboard Latin Music Week, an event that will take place from October 20 to 24.

The artist, who has accolades such as a Golden Globe and nominations for the Oscars and Emmys, also announced that she is preparing a world tour for 2026.

In 2023, Pausini was honored by the Latin Recording Academy as Person of the Year, and her career includes collaborations with figures such as Andrea Bocelli, Shakira and Ricky Martin, as well as performances in iconic venues such as Madison Square Garden in New York and the Royal Albert Hall in London.

The Billboard Icon Award recognizes Pausini as a global star who has impacted generations and cultures, highlighting her deep love for Latin music and her international legacy in the music industry.
