Lili Estefan comes to the defense of her daughter Lina and assures that she did support Miss Mexico versus Nawat
Singling out Miss Cuba for supposedly not supporting Miss Mexico is unfair, and the host of El Gordo y la Flaca explains what happened...
The conflict between Miss Mexico and Nawat Itsaragrisil, president of Miss Grand International and co-organizer of the event in Thailand, has escalated to such a point that all those who supported Fatima Bosch are being called out Those praised in the public eye are being singled out, while those who aren't are. The truth is, there are several valid reasons why some have reacted faster than others.
Nawat requests a Miss Universe representative with full authority to avoid further complications
To begin with, there's the language barrier. Both Bosch and Nawat held this discussion in English, and frankly, Nawat's accent makes it difficult to understand what she's saying on several occasions. It's important to acknowledge that not all delegates from each country speak Spanish as their first language, and many don't even use it.
Human reaction times vary. Some people process and assimilate what's happening around them at different speeds.
Taking all of the above into account, the specific criticisms leveled against Lina Luaces, Miss Cuba, are unfair. Her mother, Lili Estefan, has come to Lina's defense, as reported by Mezcal TV, through her social media account on X, formerly known as Twitter. The message from the host of 'El Gordo y la Flaca' reads as follows: “We love Fatima. I was there when she came out to speak with the press and the pageant experts; please listen to my voice when she finished speaking. I shouted: 'Bravo, Fatima, bravo, bravo, bravo!' My daughter was one of the first to leave with the first group that abandoned the pageant, get your facts straight before making things up.”
