Pink starts 2026 from the hospital: 'I'm ending the year fixing my body'
Through her Instagram account, Pink informed her followers about her health and sent a message of resilience
Singer Pink welcomed the New Year from a hospital bed, sharing an unusual and reflective New Year's Eve post with her Instagram followers. The 46-year-old artist posted a photo with a white bandage around her neck, revealing that she had been hospitalized for surgery. “I’m ending the year honoring, caring for, and fixing my body,” the star wrote, explaining that she had “two shiny new discs” placed in her neck. With her characteristic sense of humor, she joked, “Rock and roll is a contact sport,” adding that the new scar would be a “reminder that I appreciate this instrument I have and use it to the fullest.” While she was hospitalized, her family—her husband, motocross champion Carey Hart, and their two children, Willow (14) and Jameson (9)—celebrated the end of the year snowboarding. From her bedroom, Pink expressed her confidence that “2026 will be better because that is the choice I have made.”
A New Year's Resolution
Her message transcended the personal to become a declaration of purpose. The singer, known for her advocacy for causes such as women's health and reproductive rights, stated: “This year I will work to help preserve the choices that others can make for themselves, their families, and this very pursuit of happiness.”
She concluded her post with a wish for everyone: “Happy New Year and may you experience more joy than sadness, more sunshine than rain, more love than hate. Let's shed that old snake skin and find our strength.”
This is not the first time Pink has openly shared her health problems with her fans; last September she posted a picture of herself connected to an IV after contracting an E. coli infection while on vacation.
