The renowned actress Nicole Kidman showed that, despite the separation, respect and affection for her family remain intact. This Sunday, June 21, the Oscar winner used her social networks to commemorate Father's Day, dedicating a heartfelt message to the fathers in her life, including her ex-husband, country singer Keith Urban.

Through her Instagram Stories, Kidman shared a pair of retro-style black and white photographs. In one of them, Urban can be seen holding the two daughters they had together, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, when they were children. “Happy Father's Day to all the fathers,” the 59-year-old actress wrote about the touching images.

This gesture comes just a few months after the actress filed for divorce from Urban in September 2025, ending 19 years of marriage. The separation, which became official in January 2026, was attributed to “irreconcilable differences.”

Despite the breakup, Kidman has made it clear in recent interviews that her priority is the well-being of her family: "I am grateful for my family, for keeping it as it is and moving forward. (...) We are family and we will continue to be," she recently declared to Variety magazine.

A tribute to his roots and his father

Nicole Kidman's publication was not only a nod to her ex-husband, it also paid heartfelt tribute to her own father, Dr. Antony Kidman, who died in 2014. Along with Keith Urban's photo, the actress shared an image of her father holding her in his arms when she was a child.

Kidman has always spoken with great affection of the bond between her and her parents. In an interview with GQ in November 2024, he confessed that he still wakes up “crying and gasping” for the loss of both parents, a pain that he has not hesitated to express publicly on several occasions.

In this new chapter of her life, the actress has focused on her four children: Bella (33) and Connor (31), the result of her marriage to Tom Cruise, and Sunday Rose (17) and Faith Margaret (14), who she had with Urban. He has said of his young daughters that they are his main source of stability and purpose.

“My purpose is to be your protector and your guide, promising you that I am here and that, no matter what happens, there is always a safe place to grow,” she said in an interview with Harper's Bazaar in October 2025.

After the separation, it was revealed that Kidman and Urban established a cordial co-parenting plan, focused on the well-being of their teenage daughters, who live primarily with their mother.
