Olivia Rodrigo launches her own festival “Daisy Chain Fields” with a 100% female lineup
The poster will be made up of female artists such as Chappell Roan, Doechii and Katseye, among others
Singer Olivia Rodrigo announced the creation of her own music festival, an event that will be held on August 29 at the Great Park in Irvine, California, and which stands out for having an entirely female lineup.
The artist, who is currently at the peak of success with her third album “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love,” which debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200, shared her excitement on social media:
"I have never been so excited to share news with all of you. I have dreamed of doing this festival for years and I am so elated that it is finally coming true" Olivia Rodrigo
This project is one of Rodrigo's most recent initiatives to support women, joining his Fund 4 Good foundation, which raised more than $2 million for reproductive rights and causes against domestic violence.
A luxury poster
The festival will feature an impressive line-up that includes Olivia Rodrigo herself alongside artists such as Chappell Roan, Doechii, Katseye, Mitski, The Breeders, Die Spitz, Bikini Kill, Eli, Garbage, Quiet Light, Rachel Chinouriri and Not for Radio. Joining the event as special guests will be Karen O, Stevie Nicks and Sarah McLachlan. Rodrigo described the poster as “truly crazy and full of my heroes and friends.”
The festival, which will take place on two stages, is directly inspired by the historic Lilith Fair, the pioneering festival of the 90s created by Sarah McLachlan that brought together exclusively female artists.
Rodrigo, who appeared in a 2025 documentary about the Lilith Fair, expressed her desire to continue this legacy: "I feel a real connection with the young girls who come to my concerts, and being able to be a part of their lives is an honor I don't take lightly. Young girls need great role models: women who support other women and who participate in something truly joyful, musical and community-oriented."
Beyond music, Daisy Chain Fields has a clear philanthropic purpose. 100% of net proceeds will go to charities dedicated to promoting and defending the rights of women and girls. Collaborating organizations include Baby2Baby, Black Mamas Matter Alliance, Center for Reproductive Rights, FreeForm, Jhpiego, Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health, National Domestic Workers Alliance, National Institute for Reproductive Health, National Women's Law Center and Planned Parenthood, according to Variety.
All confirmed artists have agreed not to obtain financial benefits for their performances, a gesture that reinforces the collective commitment to the cause of the festival. Rodrigo stated: “I firmly believe that joy, community and music can be the drivers of meaningful change, and I hope this festival will be just that.”
The festival, produced by C3 Presents and Live Nation, will also offer activities from nonprofit organizations, community arts experiences, culinary diversity and products from local vendors.
