The first trailer for 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' is here
Sony Pictures shared the first teaser for the film that will arrive in theaters on July 31
The countdown begins for the premiere of the fourth solo Spider-Man film starring Tom Holland: “Spider-Man: Brand New Day”. To celebrate, Sony Pictures released the first official trailer for the film, revealing several details of the epic internal battle the acclaimed superhero faces. This first look, released on the studio's official platforms, begins with Peter Parker's voice narrating the dilemmas he faces as a result of the events in "Spider-Man: No Way Home," especially the memory loss of MJ (Zendaya) and Ned (Jacob Batalon). "Something bad was going to happen, and the only way to stop it was to make everyone forget about me," he says in the clip, alongside images of the young man's new solitary life. "Sometimes Spider-Man has to do the hardest part, even if it breaks Peter Parker's heart." The grief Peter Parker experiences after the death of his Aunt May is also portrayed in the trailer. Among the most emotional scenes is the one in which he visits his grave on a rainy day, reflecting the void left by his departure. One of the questions answered in the trailer was the identity of the villains the superhero will face. The first of these is Frank Castle, aka The Punisher, played by actor Jon Bernthal. It was also revealed that Spider-Man will undergo a biological transformation that will redefine his abilities as a hero, which is why he goes to Dr. Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), also known in the MCU as “Hulk.” This special appearance by the Avenger will serve as a companion for Peter Parker as he navigates the DNA changes he undergoes, which increase his superpowers to an almost dangerous level. Despite his absence in the trailer, it is known that “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” will also feature performances by Sadie Sink, Liza Colon-Zayas, and Tramell Tillman. The film, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, will be released in theaters on July 31, 2026.
