“I couldn't sleep. Too much emotion.” With these words, Shakira described the impact of her historic concert on Copacabana beach on Saturday.
The Barranquillera, which managed to gather a record number of approximately 2.5 million people, rated the experience as an “unforgettable and impressive” event.
Through her social networks, the singer shared her reflections after the show, emphasizing that the magnitude of the audience allowed “to recognize the power of music in all of us.”
For Shakira, this event wasn't just a display of musical hits, but a message of unity and resilience. “Although the day was difficult for many, we celebrated life as it is, with its successes and imperfections,” the performer noted.
A tribute to brazilian culture
The show had a strong presence of local identity. Shakira was accompanied on stage by great figures of Brazilian music such as Anitta, Ivete Sangalo and Maria Beth ânia. In addition, the participation of the Unidos da Tijuca samba school and the Dance Maré group reinforced the bond of the Colombian with the country that welcomed her since the beginnings of her career.
In her message of gratitude, which included mayor Eduardo Cavaliere and her work team, the artist highlighted that the b beauty of the environment—the sea, the mountains and the breeze— serves as a reminder of what truly matters: being present.
