West Bengal Teacher Recruitment Scam: The Enforcement Directorate (ED), which is probing the case related to the teacher recruitment scam in West Bengal, got a huge amount of cash from another flat of Arpita Mukherjee on Wednesday. An official gave this information. Arpita Mukherjee is believed to be close to state Industries Minister Partha Chatterjee, who has been arrested by the agency in the same case.

Arpita Mukherjee was arrested by the ED on July 23, a day after she received cash worth Rs 21 crore from her south Kolkata flat. The official said that this time cash has been found from the flat located in Belgharia in North Kolkata, which is owned by Arpita Mukherjee. Arpita's two flats in Belgharia's Rathala area were opened after breaking the lock as their keys were not found, the official said.

“We have found huge amount of cash in one of the two flats in the housing complex. We have got three machines for counting the money, so that we can know how much amount is actually.' He said that during the search of the flats many 'important' documents have been recovered. During interrogation, Mukherjee had informed the ED about his assets around Kolkata.

The officer said that since Wednesday morning raids are being conducted on these properties. When asked about the questioning of the minister and Mukherjee, he said that Arpita Mukherjee was cooperating in the investigation, but the minister's "attitude is non-cooperative".

Significantly, on the directions of the Calcutta High Court, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), on the recommendation of the West Bengal School Service Commission, has investigated the alleged irregularities in the recruitment of Group 'C' and 'D' class staff and teachers in government aided schools. has been.
