“Euphoria” closed its last season with outstanding audience figures
The famous series managed to accumulate 8.7 million viewers in its final episode, which was broadcast on May 31
The acclaimed HBO series “Euphoria” closed its final season with resounding audience success. The final episode, titled “In God We Trust,” aired on Sunday night, reached 8.7 million viewers on HBO and HBO Max during its first three days, which represents a slight but significant increase compared to the premiere of this same season.
Although Warner Bros. Discovery has not broken down the numbers week by week, the company confirmed, as cited by Variety, that the first episode of the third season achieved 8.5 million viewers in three days, an increase of 44% compared to the premiere of the second season, which occurred on January 22.
In this way, the final episode surpassed the audience of the season premiere by 2%, consolidating the sustained interest in the series.
In global figures, the episodes of the third season of “Euphoria” accumulate an average of 25 million viewers to date, which represents an increase of 17% compared to the average of the second season in the same period.
HBO measures a series' audience during the 90 days after its premiere, so this number will continue to grow for approximately six more weeks.
“Euphoria” became a phenomenon
Created, directed and produced by Sam Levinson, “Euphoria” remains a cultural phenomenon. The third season picked up the story years after the graduation of its protagonists, a time jump that maintained the public's interest. The main cast includes Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, Maude Apatow, Alexa Demie and Hunter Schafer, among others.
With these numbers, the series says goodbye as one of HBO's great dramatic successes in 2026, reaffirming its ability to connect with global audiences beyond its controversial representation of adolescence and young adulthood.
