Asghar's input was received by the NIA in the Bhopal terror case. The NIA took him to Patna late Tuesday night after interrogation in Dhaka.

Inquiries are also taking place in Patna. It is feared that Asghar may also have links with Bangladesh's terrorist organization JMB. According to the information, no concrete evidence has been found of Asghar's involvement in Phulwari's PFI case. East Champaran SP Dr Kumar Ashish said that after the arrest of Asghar Ali by the NIA, instructions have been given to increase patrolling in Dhaka with vigilance.
