Taking a big decision regarding the teacher eligibility test in Bihar, the government has now abolished it. Here now teachers will be made only from the CTET examination to be conducted by the central government. The Education Department has decided not to conduct the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) to be held in the state at present. The Education Department has argued that CTET is being conducted regularly by the Central Government. Therefore, there is no need to conduct TET to the department.
Only candidates who have already passed in teacher planning will be eligible
In this way, only TET and CTET pass candidates will be considered eligible till now in the proposed seventh phase teacher planning for teachers of elementary schools. In the official letter issued by the Director of Primary Education Ravi Prakash, it has been told that the Education Department may consider conducting need-based teacher eligibility test in future.

The Director of Primary Education, Ravi Prakash has written a letter in this regard to the Chairman, Secretary, Bihar School Examination Committee. It has been told in the letter that at present the education department is not feeling the need to conduct teacher eligibility test. In the letter, the Primary Director said that a decision has been taken in this regard under the chairmanship of the Additional Chief Secretary of the department.
It is necessary to pass the eligibility test for teacher appointment
According to the provisions made in the Bihar Panchayat Preliminary School Service (Appointment, Promotion, Transfer, Disciplined Action and Service Condition) Rules-2020, the prescribed qualification for teacher appointment includes passing in the teacher eligibility examination of the Central or Bihar Government. Earlier, in order of the order passed by the High Court of Patna, the decision to pass the Primary Teacher Eligibility Test has been expected.
