CBI: Central government decided to extend the tenure of DIG in CBI, also gave gifts to two SPs
The order issued by the Ministry of Personnel said that the competent authority has approved the extension of the tenure of Mohit Gupta as DIG, CBI by one year from September 4, 2023 to September 3, 2024.

The Center has extended the tenure of Central Bureau of Investigation Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Mohit Gupta till September next year. Mohit Gupta is a 2006 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre.
The order issued by the Ministry of Personnel said that the competent authority has approved the extension of the tenure of Mohit Gupta as DIG, CBI by one year from September 4, 2023 to September 3, 2024.
The tenure of Superintendent of Police Raghuramarajan A and Vidyut Vikas has also been extended. Raghuramarajan is a 2012 batch IPS officer of Nagaland cadre. His tenure as SP, CBI has been extended for two years from 16 September 2023 to 15 September 2025.
The tenure of Vidyut Vikas has been extended from September 1, 2023 to February 19, 2024. He is a 2008 batch Indian Revenue Service (Customs and Central Excise) officer.
Justice Prakash Srivastava appointed new NGT chairman
Former Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court Justice Prakash Srivastava has been appointed as the new Chairperson of the National Green Tribunal (NGT) and will take over from Wednesday. On July 6, 2023, the Center had appointed Justice Shiv Kumar Singh as the Acting President after the retirement of Justice Adarsh Kumar Goel.
NGT sources said that the order for Justice Srivastava's appointment was issued on Monday. Confirming the appointment, NGT Registrar General Ankit Singla said the reception for Justice Srivastava would be held on Wednesday.
Justice Srivastava was the Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court from October 11, 2021 to March 30, 2023. Born on March 31, 1961, Justice Srivastava was enrolled as an advocate on February 2, 1987. He practiced in the Supreme Court. He was appointed as a judge of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh on 18 January 2008. He became a permanent judge on 15 January 2010.
