CM Yogi's gift to the forest dwellers and Musahar community on Diwali worth Rs 80 crores

'Let there be no place for sorrow, this is Ram Rajya'
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who reached Vantangia village Tikoniya number three on Monday morning after creating a new world record of Deepotsav in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Ayodhya, laid the foundation stone and inaugurated 288 development works worth Rs 80 crore for various gram panchayats of the district. Greeting the people present on Diwali, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that for the last eight years, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the benefits of government schemes are reaching every poor, farmer, woman and youth of the country without any discrimination. Vantangis, Musahars did not get justice even after independence

Because even after independence, communities like Vantangia, Musahar did not get justice and rights. He said, 'I have been coming among these people continuously for 15 years. Vantangia, the fight for justice for the Musahar people got tangible in 2017 when the BJP government was formed in Uttar Pradesh. From declaring a revenue village to giving lease of land and arranging for a dignified living, the initiative was taken by the government. Recalling the statement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister said that the significance of Diwali is only when the houses of the poor are lit. The state government is working according to this mantra.
Legal screws were tightened on demanding rights
The Chief Minister said that who knew Vantangia and Musahar society earlier. 15 years ago, when the Forest Department on one side used to harass the police on the other hand for demanding the rights of Vantangia people. Basic facilities were nil. If anyone made a demand, he was tortured under the clutches of the law. Ultimately truth and justice prevailed. The Vantangia and Musahar communities are witness to this. Today, all the facilities like housing, electricity, roads, education, health etc. are being provided to the neglected forest dwellers. 6 years ago there was not a single pucca house in Vantangiya village, no road, no electricity connection. Today all pucca houses have been built here or are in the process. Every house is lit with electric lights and roads are visible everywhere. No one is deprived of any facilities. The Chief Minister said that the State Government is providing the benefits of all kinds of facilities in all 54 Vantangia villages of the State.
Foundation stone laying and inauguration of projects
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gifted Diwali to the district in the form of 288 development works worth about Rs 80 crore in a function organized in Jungle Tikonia No.
He laid the foundation stone for solid and liquid waste management works for 95 gram panchayats at a cost of Rs 34.55 crore and establishment of common service center for 62 gram panchayats at a cost of Rs 2.48 crore.
Along with this, the development works of about Rs 21.10 crore, done from performance grants in 24 gram panchayats, were also inaugurated by the CM.
The Chief Minister also dedicated to the public the development works of Rs 1.33 crore done by the Rural Engineering Department under the Purvanchal Development Fund and Rs 20.46 crore under the Accelerated Economic Development Scheme.
The Chief Minister described these development works of road, street light, school rejuvenation, RO plant, marriage house, waste management as a model of village development.
Vantangis honored
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave symbolic keys and certificates to the beneficiaries of the Chief Minister's Housing Scheme, Golden Card to the beneficiaries of Ayushman Yojana, Onion Seed Kits to the beneficiaries of the Horticulture Department, Toolkit to the trained beneficiaries of Jal Jeevan Mission, members of Yuvak Mangal Dal.
