India-China Tension: There was a clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers in the Tawang sector, after which China's first reaction has come to the fore. India's neighboring country China has said that the situation on the border is under control. There was a lot of uproar in the Parliament before China's statement. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh told Parliament on Tuesday that Chinese troops made a unilateral attempt to change the status quo in the Yangtse region in Tawang sector on December 9, to which Indian troops retaliated strongly and forced them to return.

The Defense Minister told that no soldier has died in this skirmish and no one has been seriously injured. He said that this issue has also been raised with the Chinese side at the diplomatic level and such action has been forbidden. This was stated on behalf of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh in the statement given first in the Lok Sabha and later in the Rajya Sabha on the issue of skirmish between Indian and Chinese soldiers in Tawang sector of Arunachal Pradesh.

Many members of the Congress and the opposition in the Rajya Sabha were demanding clarification after the statement of the Defense Minister. But after not getting permission from the seat, he walked out of the house. Regarding this matter, members of some opposition parties in the Lok Sabha also walked out of the house.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh told the House that on December 9, 2022, Chinese troops attempted to unilaterally change the status quo by encroaching on the Line of Actual Control (LoC) in the Yangtse sector of Tawang sector. Our army faced this effort of China with determination. There was a scuffle in this skirmish. The Indian Army bravely prevented the Chinese troops from encroaching on our territory and forced them to return to their post. Some soldiers from both sides were injured in this skirmish.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh told the House that I want to tell this House that none of our soldiers has died, nor has anyone been seriously injured. Due to the timely intervention of the Indian military commanders, the Chinese troops went back to their positions. After this incident, the local commander of the area held a flag meeting with his Chinese counterpart on 11 December 2022 under the established arrangement and discussed the incident. The Chinese side has been forbidden from taking such action and asked to maintain peace on the border. This issue has also been raised with the Chinese side at the diplomatic level.
