Dengue became frightening in Bihar, Patna broke record, 482 new patients found in 24 hours
482 new patients were identified in the district in 24 hours. Out of these, a total of 244 patients including 104 in PMCH, IGIMS 52 and NMCH 88 have been found in these three hospitals.
Patna. Record cases of dengue are coming out in the district. On an average, more than 300 new patients are being received every day for 15 days. Most patients were found on Saturday. 482 new patients were identified in the district in 24 hours. Out of these, maximum 244 patients including 104 in PMCH, IGIMS 52 and NMCH 88 have been found in these three hospitals. Apart from this, 238 patients have been found in the district's PHC, sub-divisional hospitals and private hospitals. This is the biggest number this year. Earlier this season, on Thursday, October 13, 406 patients were marked. With this, the number of dengue patients in Patna district has reached 2934.
A 70-year-old man including a five-year-old child got dengue:
This time children and adolescents are coming in the grip of dengue in large numbers. There are 27 such positive patients, which include children between five and 14 years and the elderly between 65 and 70 years. According to experts, 70 percent of the patients found so far in the district are people living in the city, while only 40 patients have been found in rural areas. Within 24 hours, 42 new patients have been admitted to the respective medical college hospitals and private hospitals. However, Civil Surgeon Dr KK Rai said that the patients admitted and found positive are out of danger.
Three teams are monitoring fogging
A team of officials has been constituted at the headquarters level to monitor the fogging and anti-larva spraying in the dengue affected area. Municipal Commissioner Animesh Kumar Parashar has posted one officer for each zone. These officers are taking stock of the situation of fogging after conducting a surprise inspection. The Municipal Commissioner will be informed about the status of all the wards by the officials included in the team.
Fagging in three shifts
Inspection of the wards is being done by these officials even in the fogging being done in three shifts. Officers have been deployed to monitor this. Additional Municipal Commissioner Sheela Irani has got the responsibility of New Rajdhani Zone, Chief Municipal Engineer Ravindra Prasad has got the responsibility of Kankarbagh Zone, Deputy Municipal Commissioner Rakesh Kumar Jha has got the responsibility of Patliputra Zone. Deputy Municipal Commissioner Nurul Haque Shivani will see the arrangements for fogging in Azimabad Zone, Deputy Municipal Commissioner Abhishek Anand in Bankipur Zone and Chief Medical Officer Dr Anoop Kumar Sharma in Patna City Zone.
