Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has canceled the Jharkhand Diploma Level Combined Competitive Examination (JE)-2021 held at various centers in Ranchi, Bokaro and East Singhbhum. The next date of examination will be published on the website of the commission soon. A notice to this effect has been issued under the signature of the Controller of Examinations of the Commission. The reasons for which the examination has been canceled has not been disclosed by the commission.

1289 Junior Engineers to be appointed

It is to be known that on July 3, the commission had conducted the diploma level competitive examination on OMR sheet at various centers in Ranchi, Bokaro and East Singhbhum. Earlier it was said to take the exam in CBT mode. The candidates had alleged that the question paper was leaked before the examination, but the Center Superintendents and JSSC did not pay any heed to the complaints of the candidates at various centers in Bokaro. Under this recruitment process, 1289 junior engineers of civil, mechanical and electrical diploma level will be appointed in Water Resources Department, Drinking Water Sanitation Department, Agricultural Engineering and Urban Development Department.

The exam was held on July 3

JSSC took the OMR based exam on July 3. After the examination, the commission had also received objections from the candidates till midnight of July 11 by publishing the provisional answer key. Meanwhile, the candidates wrote to the commission complaining about the paper leak and demanded cancellation of the examination. A protest was held for this. Later, the candidates also lodged a complaint with the Namkum police station. Taking the matter seriously, the police started investigating the paper leak. The accused of linking the paper was arrested. The police sent its investigation report to the commission.

Candidates had alleged paper leak

The candidates had demanded cancellation of the examination alleging paper leak in the Diploma Level Competitive Examination (JE). The candidates had also submitted a memorandum to the Governor, Chief Minister and JSCC President. Even before the exam, the answers to the questions went viral in various WhatsApp groups. The answers to the question paper went viral or were done from WhatsApp number 7488121791. Booklets were found with double seals or without seals at various centers including MGM Bokaro. In the recruitment advertisement, it was said to take the exam in CBT mode, but suddenly the exam was taken on the OMR sheet. The candidates also alleged that various gangs are demanding Rs 18-20 lakh from the candidates over the phone. Its audio clip was also said to be viral.
