BJP’s National President, JP Nadda, announced the appointments of state in-charges and co-in-charges for various states, including Jharkhand. The notification, signed by the party’s National General Secretary and Headquarters in-charge Arun Singh, was issued recently.

Alongside appointing Laxmikant Bajpai as Jharkhand in-charge, the party has also designated Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan as the in-charge of the assembly elections in the state. Additionally, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has been appointed as the co-in-charge. Both leaders are actively involved in the election preparations and are frequently visiting Jharkhand. Notably, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan is on a tour of Jharkhand today, Friday.

Who is Laxmikant Bajpai?

Laxmikant Bajpai, a seasoned politician and a key figure in the BJP, has once again been entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the party’s efforts in Jharkhand. Born on July 20, 1951, in Meerut, Bajpai has a long history with the BJP. His political journey began in 1977 when he was appointed the president of the youth wing, BJP Yuva Morcha.
