Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that the boat found off Raigad coast belonged to an Australian woman. Some semi-automatic weapons have been recovered from this boat. Fadnavis informed the state assembly that due to bad weather the boat had come uncontrollably on the Raigad coast. He said, the boat found on the Raigad coast is owned by an Australian woman. According to investigators, the crew members of the boat were rescued off the Oman coast in June this year. According to the Coast Guard official, after this the boat came near Raigad coast while drifting due to sea winds. Some locals spotted the boat in Shrivardhan area, about 190 km from Mumbai, and informed the security agencies, the official said. There was no crew member in the boat.

"It is a UK-registered yacht that was going from Oman to Europe," the official said. An emergency call was received from the ferry and on 26 June the occupants were rescued around Muscat. According to the official, the arms seller has been contacted and the number of weapons found on the boat matched with the weapons missing from the seller's list. "Since the speed of the boat is slow, it is allowed to carry small arms," ​​the official said. When the people on board had left the boat, they did not take their weapons with them.
