Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, arrested by the CBI in an alleged excise scam, on Friday filed a regular bail plea in the court. Sisodia's lawyer filed his bail application in the Rouse Avenue Court.

Let us tell you that earlier Sisodia had directly challenged the arrest made by the CBI in the Supreme Court. But there reprimanded by the Chief Justice said that you should first go to the Delhi High Court. The matter being in Delhi does not mean that you will directly approach the Supreme Court. Also refused to interfere in his case.

Manish Sisodia was arrested by CBI on February 26 after eight hours long questioning. After this, he was produced in the court on February 27 and from there Sisodia was sent to five-day custody.

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who was caught by the CBI after getting a blow from the Supreme Court, had resigned from his post on Tuesday itself. At the same time, jailed minister Satyendar Jain had also sent his resignation to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The Chief Minister also accepted the resignations of both his senior ministers.

Sisodia had Education, Finance, Planning, Land and Building, Services, Tourism, Art-Culture and Language, Awareness, Labor and Employment, Health, Industry, Power, Home, Urban apart from Public Works Department. There were development, irrigation and flood control and water departments. Sisodia was the most influential minister in the Delhi government. All the major ministries of the state government were with him. Sisodia is the most trusted leader of CM Kejriwal.

After the arrest of Satyendar Jain, his six departments were also being handled by Sisodia. Satyendar Jain was the health minister in the Delhi government. About nine months after his arrest, Jain resigned from his ministerial post.
