Mau Sadar MLA and Mukhtar Ansari's son Abbas Ansari has suffered a major setback from the MP-MLA Court in Lucknow. Court rejects Abbas's anticipatory bail plea. In October 2019, a non-bailable warrant has been issued against him in the case registered at the Mahanagar police station in Lucknow.

In fact, Abbas Ansari is absconding in the case of illegal transfer of arms license, due to which the police is constantly looking for him. Earlier, the Metropolitan Police of Lucknow was ordered to be produced in the court by July 27. Meanwhile, now the MP MLA Court has given the Metropolitan Police time till August 10 to arrest Abbas.

The police have been looking for Abbas Ansari for a long time, but so far no success has been achieved. Eight teams of police are raiding Lucknow Commissionerate as well as other districts including Varanasi, Mau, Ghazipur and Azamgarh to nab Ansari. Apart from this, two teams of STF are also looking for Abbas Ansari.

In fact, the STF had filed a charge sheet against Abbas Ansari, son of Bahubali Mukhtar Ansari, in the case of illegally buying arms. Lucknow Police had recovered 6 arms and 4,431 cartridges of different bores from Abbas Ansari's Delhi residence. Mukhtar Ansari's son is alleged to have bought many arms and cartridges against the rules on the pretext of shooting.

In the year 2020, on the orders of the then SSP of Lucknow, Kalanidhi Naithani, an FIR was registered against Abbas Ansari under the Arms Act in Mahanagar Kotwali. After this, the DGP directed the STF to investigate the matter. In the investigation of STF, arms purchased from country and abroad were recovered from Abbas. After this, a charge sheet was filed against Abbas Ansari in the court.
