PFI in Thiruvananthapuram has called for a bandh today against the NIA raids. According to the information received, people supporting the bandh allegedly damaged an auto-rickshaw and a car. Also, according to the latest information, the bandh supporters have also attacked the police personnel. Let us inform that on Thursday, a joint team of NIA, ED and state police forces raided and arrested many PFI leaders. Angered by this, PFI leaders have called for a strike today i.e. on 23 September. The raids were conducted at PFI offices, leaders' houses and other premises on Thursday.

In protest against this action, PFI state general secretary A Abdul Sattar has said that a strike has been called in Kerala on Friday to protest against the action of central agencies. The statement said its state committee felt that the arrests of the organization's leaders were part of "state-sponsored terrorism". He said that the fascist government controlled by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is trying to suppress the voice of dissent by using central agencies.

Let us inform that this action of NIA was done to stop the alleged support of terrorist activities in the country. The state unit of BJP termed today's strike as unnecessary and urged the state government to take strict action against it. BJP state unit chief K. Surendran alleged that all the strikes called earlier by the PFI have led to riots. He said that the state authorities should make arrangements to adequately protect the life and property of the people.

On Thursday, a joint team of NIA, ED and state police forces arrested over 100 PFI leaders. According to news agency ANI, the joint team conducted raids in 10 states. During this, maximum 22 people were arrested from Kerala. At the same time, 20 people have been arrested from Maharashtra and Karnataka, 5 from Andhra Pradesh, 9 from Assam, 3 from Delhi, 8 from UP and 2 from Rajasthan.
