The Vigilance Investigation Bureau in Patna on Saturday raided four places of Drug Inspector Jitendra Kumar simultaneously. The raids took place at his office and residence in Sultanganj in Patna City, Pharmacy College on Gola Road in Danapur and flat in Gaya city.

According to sources, more than Rs 4 crore in cash has been recovered from Jitendra Kumar's residence. The scope of cash amount could be more. Apart from this, gold and silver jewellery, land and house and insurance policies have been found in the investigation of the team.

Earlier, raids were started against the Drug Inspector by registering a case of disproportionate assets of two crore rupees in the surveillance police station.
The machine failed to count the notes
During the investigation, a large amount of cash hidden in sacks, diwan beds and cartoons was recovered at the residence of the Drug Inspector located in Khan Mirza locality near the Malaria office of Sultanganj police station area. To count these notes of two thousand and five hundred rupees, the surveillance first called for a currency reader machine. But before the counting could be completed, the machine broke down.
Cash seized around Rs 4 crore
After the machine malfunctioned, the monitoring officers urged the officers to send bank personnel so that the counting of notes could be completed. The recovered cash is said to be around Rs 4 crore. Many ornaments including 2.5 kg silver and half kg gold were also found at the residence. Documents related to policies of various insurance companies were also found by the team. In the Sultanganj police station area itself, the office of the Drug Inspector was also searched by the monitoring team and many documents were confiscated.
Many papers seized from pharmacy college
The drug inspectors also run a pharmacy college at Gola Road in Danapur. A team investigated the Bihar College of Pharmacy as well as in flat number 202 in Kusum House. After examining the documents of the college, he saw his income and expenditure details. Along with this, some documents were also confiscated. Documents of movable and immovable property available at a drug inspector's flat in an apartment in Gaya city are also being scrutinized.
