The UP government has not alleged any fault of the police in the murder of Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf in police custody on Saturday. Here he also mentioned the Vikas Dubey encounter.

The state government has filed a status report in the Supreme Court in the case of murder of Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf in police custody. If sources are to be believed, the apex court has been informed about the ongoing investigation by the Judicial Commission. The next hearing in this case will be on October 3.

In the affidavit filed by the state government in the Supreme Court, it has been said that after arresting the three accused who murdered Atiq and Ashraf in the hospital of Prayagraj on April 15, 2023, a charge sheet has been filed against them in the court. This matter is currently being investigated by the Judicial Commission and the police.

The report of the Judicial Inquiry Commission will be presented before the Supreme Court along with the government. In the reply given on the encounters that took place during the last six years, it was said that no fault of the police has been found in any case.
