Trump lashed out against Israel for having bombed Iran again
Donald Trump has practically ordered Israel to withdraw its planes from Iranian airspace, as he claims that the ceasefire remains in effect
President Donald Trump expressed his discontent with Israel for having broken its word to stop attacks against Iran, as this once again commits peace in the Middle East.
Before leaving for a trip to The Hague, where he will participate in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization Summit (NATO), the US president expressed disappointment after witnessing that Israel and Iran had broken their word to no longer attack each other.
“Basically, we have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don't know what the hell they're doing.
Israel, as soon as we signed the agreement, went out and dropped an amount of bombs like I've never seen before. The most we've ever seen. I'm not happy with Israel. When I say they have 12 hours, they don't go out in the first hour and drop everything they have on them. So I'm not happy with them, and I'm not happy with Iran,” he said from the White House in front of representatives of the news media.
Later, in a message posted on the Truth Social platform, he practically ordered the government of the Jewish nation to stop bombing the Iranians.
ISRAEL. DO NOT DROP THOSE BOMBS. IF THEY DO, IT WILL BE A GRAVE VIOLATION. BRING YOUR PILOTS! HOME NOW! he wrote.
Minutes later, in a new post, Trump reiterated that the ceasefire between the governments of Tehran and Jerusalem remains in effect.
Israel is not going to attack Iran. All plans will turn around and return home, while giving a friendly salute to Iran. No one will be hurt; the ceasefire is in effect! Thank you for your attention to this matter! I have emphasized.
It should be noted that hours before the statement and messages from the US president, Israel Katz, Israeli Defense Minister, had warned through a statement that the Jewish nation would continue its war operations in response to Iran's unwillingness to respect the agreement that would end the so-called “12-day war.”
“In light of Iran's complete violation of the ceasefire declared by the President of the United States (…) I have ordered the IDF (Israel Defense Forces), in coordination with the Prime Minister, to continue intensive strike activity against Tehran to thwart regime objectives and terrorist infrastructure,” the letter reads in part.
