Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass said she supports former mayor Antonio Villaraigosa as a candidate for governor of California in the 2026 election.
Bass expressed her support for Villaraigosa, after mentioning that they have worked together throughout their adult lives.
“I have seen firsthand the impact he has had not only on our city, but on the entire state. Our country is at a crossroads, and it is vital that our state has a leader who will guide California into the future,” said Mayor Bass.
