Laura Lommer states that the ceasefire negotiation with Iran was a failure for the US.
Conservative activist Laura Lommer believes that granting a temporary ceasefire to Iran is a mistake with enormous consequences for Americans
Just hours before a Following the ultimatum issued by the US president to reopen the Strait of Hormuz to the free passage of commercial vessels or face a deadly attack, Iran agreed, thus securing a guarantee of a two-week suspension of all military operations against it from its adversary.
“Following discussions with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir of Pakistan… I agree to suspend bombing and attacks against Iran. It will be a bilateral ceasefire! We are well advanced in negotiating a final agreement on long-term peace with Iran and peace in the Middle East,” Trump wrote on the Truth Social platform.
However, through several posts shared on the platform X, formerly known as Twitter, Laura Lommer considered that what the US president stated was nothing to celebrate, at least for the moment.
“We didn’t really get anything out of this and the terrorists in Iran are celebrating. The negotiation has been a “It was a failure, so those celebrating while discrediting Trump are wrong. This is nothing to celebrate,” she wrote.
The activist, originally from Tucson, Arizona, believes the Iranians will end up stronger, while Americans will pay a high price for Trump’s decision to refuse to continue attacking them during a phase when they appeared most vulnerable.
“As soon as Trump leaves, they will build a nuclear weapon and attack the United States and Israel. Negotiating with terrorists only strengthens them. Unfortunately, I think the United States will learn this the hard way,” she predicted.
Hours later,Iran has once again closed the Strait of Hormuz in response to a military offensive launched by Israel against Lebanon, an action that, from the Islamic Republic's perspective, should not have occurred during a supposed ceasefire agreement.
