Trump threatens to wipe Iran off the face of the Earth if it attacks US ships
The US president says the US has weapons and ammunition of a higher grade than before to conduct an offensive against Iran
The President of the United States, Donald Trump, threatened this Monday to “wipe Iran off the face of the Earth” if the Islamic Republic attacks American ships in the Strait of Hormuz or in the Persian Gulf.
The president issued this warning during a telephone interview with Fox News, according to the airline correspondent of that chain in Israel, Trey Yingst.
“We have more weapons and ammunition of a much higher grade than before,” warned Trump, who said that the U.S. operation in the Strait of Hormuz is “one of the largest military maneuvers ever carried out.”
The president also assured that the Islamic Republic has become “much more malleable” throughout peace negotiations.
Trump announced on Sunday the launch of an operation to escort ships through the Strait of Hormuz, blocked by Iran in retaliation for the war.
The Central Command of the Armed Forces of the United States reported this Monday that it has facilitated the passage of two merchant ships in the strait and that it has destroyed six Iranian fast boats that tried to avoid it.
On April 7 , Trump threatened that “an civilization” would die if Iran did not reach an agreement with States United to end the war, hours before Washington accepted a two-week ceasefire in the offensive. EFE
