Hartalika Teej is observed by married women to pray for the long life of their husbands. So there unmarried girls observe this fast to wish for their desired husband. Hartalika Teej is observed on Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month. Goddess Parvati and Lord Shankar are worshiped on this day. The fast of Hartalika Teej is considered the most difficult of all the fasts. Many things should be kept in mind while observing this fast. Whatever be the fast, it is very important to keep self-control in it. This rule is applicable in the fasting of Hartalika Teej. Women observing the fast of Teej should stay away from anger and anger on this special day. No matter how much anger is coming in your mind, but only by keeping restraint on yourself, you can make your fast successful. Therefore, on the day of Hartalika Teej, keep complete restraint on yourself. 

The fasting of Hartalika Teej is also considered difficult. Because on this day women worship in the evening after fasting for the whole day and fasting. Along with that, fasting women should not sleep on this day. Rather, the whole night should be spent in the worship and worship of God. And the fast should be broken in the morning.

If you are observing a fast of Hartalika Teej, then you should not consume milk on this fast. It has been told in the Puranas that a woman who drinks milk on this day takes birth in a snake vagina in the next life.
