The influencer Brianna Johnson, known on social networks as dreamdoll_brii, died after an armed attack that occurred early Sunday morning in Miramar, south of Florida, authorities reported.
The 21-year-old girl was traveling with two other people in a lime green Lamborghini Urus when another vehicle paired up with them and opened fire, the Miramar Police Department told Fox News Digital on Monday.
The other two occupants were taken to a hospital and remain in critical condition.
The attack was recorded by security cameras
The Miramar Police Department said the shooting occurred around 5:30 a.m., a few hours after the United States Independence Day celebrations.
According to investigators, a white sedan pulled up next to the driver's side of the truck and fired multiple shots at the occupants.
Surveillance videos broadcast by WSVN media allegedly show how the car follows the Lamborghini before the shooting begins.
After the attack, the victims' vehicle continued to advance uncontrollably until crashing into a house, while the suspect car fled the scene.
Police believe the vehicle was followed
Authorities indicated that they received multiple alerts from the ShotSpotter system, used to detect gunshots.
Miramar Police Chief Delrish Moss described the attack as a high-intensity burst of gunfire.
Photographs spread on social networks show the Lamborghini with numerous bullet holes in one of its sides.
According to WSVN, the three victims had previously attended a party at a nearby home and subsequently made a stop at a gas station, where a fight allegedly occurred.
Investigators hypothesize that the vehicle was followed after that incident and subsequently attacked.
The influencer had almost half a million followers
Johnson was known for posting lifestyle and beauty-related content.
Together, their TikTok and Instagram accounts had nearly 500,000 followers.
Her TikTok profile, identified as _itgirlbri, had approximately 388,000 followers, while on Instagram, under the name dreamdoll_brii, she had around 88,800 followers.
Miramar Police confirmed that Johnson died as a result of injuries sustained during the attack.
The identities of the other two injured people have not been revealed.
Relatives and followers of the young woman began to publish farewell messages on their social networks after hearing the news.
The authorities keep the investigation open and, for the moment, have not reported on any detained persons or publicly identified possible suspects.
