FIFA World Cup: Ghana beat South Korea with two goals from Qudus, Cameroon and Serbia draw
In the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2022, today Ghana defeated South Korea 3-2.
South Korea put up a tough fight in the second half but two goals from Mohamed Quddus helped Ghana keep their hopes of making the knockout stages alive with a 3-2 win in their FIFA World Cup Group H match here on Monday. Mohamed Salisu also scored a goal for Ghana, who started the campaign with a defeat against Portugal. In another match, the match between Cameroon and Serbia ended in a draw.
Korea's Sung scored two goals in three minutes
When the South Korean team was trailing 0-2, Cho Gyu Sung scored two goals in three minutes to make the score 2-2. Salisu gave Ghana the lead in the 24th minute, after which Kudus scored another goal in the 34th minute to put the team ahead 2-0. Korea's team played better in the second half. Gyu Sung reduced Ghana's lead in the 58th minute and then scored another goal in the 61st minute to equalize Korea.
Qudus scored the last goal in the 68th minute
Kudus scored in the 68th minute to put Ghana ahead 3–2, which proved to be the decisive score. In the final minutes of the match, Ghana adopted a defensive attitude. Meanwhile, Korea made several moves but the team could not succeed in scoring. Goalkeeper Lawrence Atzigi played an important role in Ghana's victory, who thwarted several Korean attacks.
Abubakar's goal helps Cameroon hold Serbia to 3-3 draw
Substitute Vincent Aboubakar scored a goal and assisted another as Serbia came from behind to hold Qatar 3-3 in their FIFA World Cup Group G match here on Monday. Aboubakar scored in the 64th minute after beating Serbia goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic and then assisted striker Eric Maxim Chopo two minutes later. This is the first time in the ongoing World Cup in Qatar that the match ended in a draw despite both the teams taking the lead.

With this draw, both the teams got one point each. Cameroon took the lead in the 29th minute through central defender Jean-Charles Castelletto. It looked as though Cameroon would hold on to the lead until half-time, but Strehinja Pavlovic equalized in the first minute of injury time of the first half. Midfielder Sergej Milinkovich Savich put Serbia ahead 2–1 two minutes later with a thunderous shot from a distance of 20 metres.

Striker Aleksandar Mitrovic scored another goal in the 53rd minute to put Serbia ahead 3-1 at the Al Zeinob Stadium. Cameroon coach Rigobert Song did not give goalkeeper Andre Onana a chance for this match. The reason for Onana's ouster is not known but there are reports that he was dropped for disciplinary reasons.
