The first victory of the Xabi Alonso was arrived. This Sunday, Real Madrid defeated Pachuca 3-1 in front of 70,000 spectators at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte in the second matchday of Group H at the Club World Cup, a result that left the Mexican team eliminated from the competition.

Without French striker Kylian Mbappe, who was ruled out again for health reasons, and despite Raul Ascencio being sent off in the 7th minute, the Merengue team managed to take the lead thanks to goals from Jude Bellingham, Arda Guler and Federico Valverde.
The opening goal came in the 35th minute through Bellingham, after a brilliant move by youngster Gonzalo Garcia, who left his marker behind with a backheel in midfield.
Shortly before halftime, Garcia himself set up Arda Guler, who made no mistake inside the area to make it 2-0.
In the 25th minute of the second half, Uruguayan Federico Valverde extended the lead with a shot after a cross from Brahim Diaz. The counterattack, initiated by Vinicius, reflected the tactical superiority of a Madrid side that, even with a man down, looked much more solid.
Courtois, Tuzos nightmare
Pachuca, however, had their chances. In the first half, they created several chances that forced goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to intervene spectacularly. The Belgian goalkeeper was key in keeping the team going in the most difficult moments.
Already behind, the Mexican team managed to pull one back through Elias Montiel, who took advantage of a deflection off Tchouameni to make it 3-1 with ten minutes left. The goal, however, did not change the outcome.
Towards the end of the match, there was an exchange of words between Mexican players and the German player, Rudiger, which led the referee to warn them with a racist gesture. However, the duel continued until the end of regulation time.
With this result, The Merengue team reached four points in the group and is well on its way to qualifying for the round of 16. Pachuca, meanwhile, is left with no points at the bottom of its group and no chance of making it to the next round, pending what happens between Salzburg and Al Hilal.
