André Jardine plans to close his time in Mexican soccer
The Brazilian revealed that he will return to Brazil to rest. André Jardine acknowledged that he does not plan to be in Mexico
André Jardine left a great mark on Mexican soccer. His most successful process in Liga MX was with the Águilas del América, a club with which he was able to win a three-time championship. However, the Brazilian strategist would like to momentarily pause his time in Mexico.
A few weeks ago the decision of the Águilas del América board to finalize André Jardine's project was shared. The Brazilian leaves after a season in which he was barely able to qualify for the Liguilla.
After this decision was made, André Jardine was free to take on a new project. But Liga MX is not in Jardine's plans, at least for now.
"I want to go to Brazil as soon as possible because I need to rest with my family. The phone is already ringing, I want to listen to interesting projects, but it won't be in Mexico, I can assure you. We don't know what will happen," Jardiné said for Fox Sports México.
Your mark in Mexico
André Jardine coached two teams in Mexican soccer. The former São Paulo coach showed that he can get a lot of benefit from low-profile clubs and large teams.
His first club was Atlético San Luis. The Brazilian strategist led them for 54 games. Jardine left a balance of 19 wins, 13 draws and 22 losses. Atlético returned to compete within Aztec football.
His second project was with the Águilas del América. André Jardine led the azulcremas for 162 games. Jardine left a very good record of 85 wins, 41 draws and only 36 losses.
André Jardine won three Liga MX titles, a Campeón de Campeones, a Liga MX Super Cup and a Campeones Cup.
