The Mexican boxer William Camarón Zepeda and the American Lamont Roach Jr. made their next fight in the ring official. The athletes will compete for the vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) lightweight world championship.
The sporting event is scheduled for Saturday, August 1. The venue selected for the evening will be The Theater venue, located within the Virgin Hotels facilities in Las Vegas, Nevada.

During the official announcement released by the promoters of the event, the fighter from San Mateo Atenco spoke about his preparation in camp. El Camarón Zepeda indicated that his team has been working constantly since his last presentation.
“Once again, we have been given the opportunity to fight for a world championship and we are ready to show the world who Camarón Zepeda is,” the boxer said in the press release sent to the media.
The Mexican contender also sent a direct message to his next rival. Zepeda pointed out in the same document that he expects the best version of Roach Jr. to provide a sporting spectacle to boxing fans.

Oscar De La Hoya, president of Golden Boy Promotions, supported the work of his client in this advertisement. The manager mentioned that the boxer earned this starting opportunity after overcoming his previous challenges in the category.
“On August 1, fans will witness the battle between two world-class boxers for the WBC World Championship, and I am confident that William will show the world why he is one of the best,” De La Hoya said in the press release.
For his part, Lamont Roach Jr. will seek to win his fourth consecutive fight in different weight divisions. The American assured in the official report that his main objective is to take over the first place pound for pound in the discipline.
