Chivas, América, Pumas and ten more Liga MX teams will benefit from FIFA as a result of their contribution to the different teams that will participate in the upcoming 2026 World Cup, according to the compensation table established in the record budget of more than $350 million.

The financial compensation for each of the thirteen Mexican teams will be in accordance with the players with whom they supported the Mexican team in the next World Cup, as in the case of Chivas, the squad that supported the largest number of players called up.

The economic benefit for each club is part of a program that consists of rewarding the teams for each day that their players participate in the tournament, so the more their team advances, the more money the club that released the players will receive.

In the case of Chivas, it contributes Raúl Rangel, Luis Romo, Brian Gutiérrez, Roberto Alvarado and Armando González; América, with Israel Reyes, Brian Rodríguez, Álvaro Fidalgo and Álvaro Zendejas; Pumas to Guillermo Martínez, Adalberto Carrasquilla and Robert Morales; Cruz Azul to Erik Lira and Willer Ditta, among the Mexican teams with the greatest collaboration for the national teams.

Players from teams such as Argentina, France, Spain, Netherlands, Croatia, and Portugal, which are considered the favorites of the next World Cup, would be among the most benefited by the financial contribution of this organization.

Four years ago, in Qatar 2022, the budget managed by FIFA was 209 million dollars, which was divided between the days that the players participated, regardless of the minutes played. The operation gave a result of almost 11 thousand dollars per soccer player per day.

For the 2026 World Cup there is a larger budget thanks to the fact that there are more teams; The increase was 70% compared to Qatar 2022. With 355 million dollars to be distributed, it is expected that with the final calculations, which are made at the end of the tournament, the amount will be greater than the 11 thousand dollars of the last edition.

There are particular cases such as that of Álvaro Fidalgo, a player who was traded by América to Betis of Spain, but in this case the benefit of the reward will be for the American team for the longest time that this player played for América.

The MX League will contribute 26 players for the 2026 World Cup, including national and foreign players, where Chivas del Guadalajara was the team with the highest number of players contributing to the national team.
