Gilberto Mora, with that self-confidence that young players have today and where, after a performance with authority and without that stage fright that young players from Mexico carried for decades, assured after the victory over the Czech Republic that they can be world champions.
"My family, the truth is that I have not spoken with them right now, but I am sure that they are very happy for me and very proud of the game that we all played. I think that the Mexican team is ready to be champion and in the matter of Europe, I want to think only about the team in the World Cup, about power, continuing to have minutes; those that touch me, I will give everything. In the future, we will see what happens."
Interviewed in the mixed zone where he appeared after Mateo Chávez, Mora revealed that he still can't imagine what he experienced on the Azteca Stadium field: "The truth is that I still can't imagine what's happening, but I'm very happy and very happy and there's no other choice but to continue working just as we've been doing. I think there are good rivals coming who can touch us and we're going to continue working to be able to continue on that path and we want to keep moving forward."
Regarding what he is experiencing in the Mexican national team, still before turning eighteen, he explained that it is a dream come true and that perhaps everything came too quickly, but that he is happy and ready to continue dreaming.
"The truth is, I did think that I could achieve it, not so soon, to be honest, but now that I'm here I try to enjoy it, to live day by day, to give my best, when I enter the field of play and the truth is we are very happy to close with three victories and with zero behind; it is very exciting for us and we are going to continue working to continue on that path," highlighted the young Tricolor player.
Mora insisted that it is a dream that he is living in the World Cup and with the senior team when he was just playing in the Under 20 World Cup recently: "The truth is that for me it is a dream, come true, it is what I have always worked for, to play a World Cup here at the Azteca Stadium with my team; that is what I prepared for, that is what I dreamed of and I am truly very happy, very happy for the victory. We wanted to close with three victories in the group and thank God that was the case; we are very happy and thinking in what follows.”
