Milan continues to wait patiently for Santiago Gimenez
Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri advised Santiago Gimenez to stay calm. The Mexican hasn't scored this season.
Milan is slowly getting its pieces together this season. The Rossoneri have not played great football and their forwards have been singled out. Despite the fact that more is expected of Santiago Gimenez, coach Massimiliano Allegri is not putting pressure on him.
After losing 2-1 to Cremonese in the opening matchday of Serie A, Milan has won two consecutive matches. The defensive sector has looked more solid than the offensive sector.
Santiago Gimenez is one of those singled out for the lack of goals for the Rossoneri. In fact, the "Bebote" has not been able to score so far this season. Massimiliano Allegri is urging him to remain calm.
"We have very good attackers. (Santi Gimenez) is fine, he's had many opportunities (to score), but he just has to stay calm because he's going to start scoring, he's always scored and he will do so again," said the Italian coach.
Santiago Gimenez's drought
This season, Santiago Gimenez has already played four matches. "El Bebote" has played three Serie A matches and one Coppa Italia match. In 335 minutes on the pitch, the former Cruz Azul striker has yet to score his first goal.
To find Santiago Gimenez's last goal for Milan, we have to go back to May 9 of this year. On that date, "El Bebote" scored two goals against Bologna in Serie A.
This Saturday, Gimenez will have another opportunity to end his goal drought. The Mexican forward will visit the Bluenergy Stadium with Milan to face Unidense.
